Biometric Passport Crack: Privacy, Security Threat

Face and fingerprints swiped in Dutch biometric passport crack according to a Dutch News program. A security specialist apparently cracked the Dutch passport, decrypted and read all personal data from that biometric passport. The danger in this can be clearly seen in that necessary information can be remotely read, decrypted copied and installed on fake passports to defeat security sytsems at any airport or border crossing. Those fakes would become a severe security threat worldwide - not to mention a threat to the passport holder whose information was stolen for nefarious uses. Passport security requires dramatic improvements in encryption and protections against remote reading with RFID scanners before it is used by any nation.
